Simply About Business was founded when a lawyer and a retailer worked together on a high profile project and they realized that together their skills could benefit a number of businesses. As such Simply About Business provides advice and support to businesses of all sizes under 3 main headings:-

After a period of development and expansion, we have found that company’s find our employment and contract services particularly useful and cost effective in reducing the likelihood of disputes arising – in employment, through the correct management of personnel and the proper implementation of clear, well drafted employment documentation and in contract - by providing a contract specifically drafted for the occasion which is agreed and understood by all parties.
Our retail customers use us for a variety of reasons but particularly commend us on our ability to coach management staff, implement retail systems (such as merchandising, etc) and increasing employee drive/motivation thus increasing sales (and profitability).
We are practical and approachable in our style and we have total commitment to the interests of our clients. As members of both Initiatives in Business Development (ibd - an international company providing business advice all over the world) and eeba (a smaller group providing advice to businesses in East Anglia), Simply About Business can, via these networks, offer a range of other business services however, the core focus of Simply About Business remains employment, contract and retail.
Why Us?
Availability…. We appreciate that often, especially for smaller businesses, it can be difficult to take time out of the office to obtain advice or discuss a particular requirement and that it may not be practical to make telephone calls during normal business operating hours. Furthermore, retail is now a 24/7 industry so we recognize that advisers to retailers should also be available these hours. As such, by pre-arrangement, we are open for business 7 days a week at a time that suits you.
Your time…. We appreciate that your time is money therefore we try to minimize the need for face to face or protracted, unnecessary meetings. We live in an electronic age therefore we conduct most of our communications by e-mail and telephone so the requirement for face to face discussions is kept to a minimum. Adopting such operating methods also mean that we are not subject to geographical constraints. We have clients all over the UK and Europe.
Cost…. Research indicates that spending money preventing situations is far more cost effective than attempting to resolve a problem later on. We charge by the hour as we find that this is more cost effective than the usual way business advisers charge – by the day! Billing is structured in such a way that you only pay for the time used. Furthermore, we can offer a number of payment structures and a majority of our work is undertaken for a fixed fee so you know how much the service will cost from the outset.
