Since its formation in 1991, Access Accounting has been dedicated to the supply of high quality business solutions. It was one of the first UK software vendors to recognise the huge potential of the Windows operating system and to harness Microsoft applications for the benefit of its clients.

Over the last 15 years, users of Access solutions have enjoyed a significant commercial advantage. Access has worked hard to maintain this competitive edge, by investing in a highly skilled workforce and a continuous programme of R&D. The outcome is a range of British-built software, designed to bring speed and simplicity to business processes.

Business restructure

In the last two years, Access Accounting has acquired three companies, providing additional specialist knowledge in manufacturing and supply chain management and the not-for-profit sector. As a result, Access Technology Group was set up under which Access Accounting now sits, alongside Access Accounting Ireland Ltd, Access Supply Chain Ltd and Asyst Solutions Ltd.

Awards and accreditations

Access Accounting is one of a select group of UK software vendors to have achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status. Individual Access solutions are fully accredited by the industry's major authorities, including HM Revenue & Customs and the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). Both the company and its products have received numerous awards for innovation and excellence, including the 2005/6 Accountancy Age ‘Mid Range Software Package of the Year’ award.

Access Accounting’s software range includes general business and accounting solutions for use in any industry (Access Accounts), specialised solutions for the manufacturing and distribution sectors (Access Supply Chain) and an HM Revenue & Customs-approved payroll solution (Access Payroll).

The Access Accounts range includes the award-winning Access Dimensions, providing the best value, fully featured, Microsoft SQL Server technology for the ultimate in integrated business management software. This customisable, open architecture (client/server) package is suitable for 1 to 500+ users and offers true enterprise functionality. A future-proofed, integrated solution, it presents business critical information in an accessible and flexible format using tried and tested technology that is designed, developed and supported exclusively in the UK. Access Dimensions also offers exceptional reporting and analysis capabilities, combined with increased visibility of accurate and timely information, making the decision making and business planning process much easier.

A Dimensions Lite version is also available, serving 1-10 concurrent users.

Access Accounts offers a further two powerful and easy to use solutions, Horizons and FoundationsXP. These highly flexible LAN packages are perfectly suited to new, growing and ambitious companies in any industry.

The Access Accounts range is complemented by a number of practical productivity solutions. These are designed to connect with every possible source of business data, to speed the completion of common administrative tasks and to help in the timely distribution of key accounts information. These solutions includes:
