- Grundon Waste Management achieve significant time savings with dataflow’s automation of cash entry and credit control -
Founded in 1929, Grundon Waste Management is a family owned company and the largest privately owned waste management group in the UK. Grundon has developed from a local aggregate supply business into a national commercial group in the industrial services sector, with interests in: Waste Management, Minerals Development, Clinical Waste & Recovery, Facilities Management and Recycling.
One of Grundon’s current projects involves a joint venture with Viridor Waste Management for a £180 million Energy from Waste Plant at Colnbrook, near Slough. The plant, when fully commissioned in mid-2008, will be capable of generating electricity for a town the size of Aylesbury from just pure waste.
The 20-user dataflow MS SQL Enterprise system enables Grundon to process nearly 8,000 sales invoices per month. With this level of invoicing credit control could be a problem, but dataflow has helped Grundon manage their cashflow with ease.
Customer Service levels are supported by system features that allow disputed invoices to be tracked through to resolution. Accounts are automatically put on stop with the issue of Final Letters. When payment is received, the stop flag is automatically reversed out.
In addition, Direct Debit collections, auto cash entry and allocation are just some of the features in dataflow financials that have resulted in significant time savings in credit control management.
